What a workday looks like
Most projects are yard and property work: mowing, weed eating, trimming overgrown vegetation, cleaning gutters, hauling junk and litter to the curb for bulky pickup, and cleaning up flower beds. Some projects move into home repairs such as handrails, ramps, and exterior fixes. A City of Longview representative sets the workday with the homeowner, who is present the whole time. Projects can be scheduled any day the homeowner can be there.
What to bring
Bring your own yard tools such as mowers and weed eaters. Connect Longview keeps a small supply of rakes, loppers, and hand tools. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water.
