Connect Longview (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs https://www.connectlongview.com/. This page explains what information the website collects, who receives it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Information we collect
- What you send us through our forms: your name, phone number, email address and whatever you type into the message or request fields.
- Details about the form submission: the page you were on, the referring page and any campaign tags in the link you followed, so we know which advertising or search brought you to us. Our form system stores a one-way hash of your IP address for spam control, not the address itself. Our form software may also record your IP address and browser type with the submission.
- Server logs: like any website, our hosting keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and provide what you asked for.
- To follow up with you about that inquiry by phone, email or text message (see below).
- To protect the website from spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who receives it
Information moves only to the services that make this website and our follow-up work:
- Website hosting and the email service that delivers our notifications (our website host).
- Trendwise Consulting, the marketing agency that maintains this website, which receives inquiry details in its reporting dashboard so it can measure and support our advertising.
- Authorities when the law requires it, and advisers or successors if the business is sold or reorganized.
Text messaging (SMS) program
If you give us your mobile number and check the text-message consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Connect Longview about your inquiry, such as follow-ups on a quote or request, appointment confirmations and reminders, and service updates.
- Opting in: consent is given by checking the consent box on our forms. Consent is not a condition of buying anything from us.
- Message frequency varies with your interaction with us.
- Message and data rates may apply under your carrier plan.
- Opting out: reply STOP to any message and you are unsubscribed, or email CL@LongviewTexas.gov.
- Help: reply HELP to any message or call 903-237-1060.
- No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that support us, such as customer service or the platform that delivers our messages, is permitted. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their own use.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed for it to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser.
How long we keep it
Inquiry details are kept as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and afterwards as our records and the law require. Analytics data is kept on the schedules set in the analytics tools. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections to the website. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any message.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing CL@LongviewTexas.gov. We will verify the request and respond as the law requires.
- Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (such as Texas, California, Virginia and Colorado) have rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to appeal a decision we make about a request. We honor those rights for everyone, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising them.
Children
The website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, we post the new version here and update the date at the top.
