Help with repairs your home needs
If your home needs repairs you cannot manage on your own, we may be able to help. Call us first; we will walk you through it. Connect Longview matches volunteer groups with Longview homeowners who need property repairs because of a physical or financial hardship.Who qualifies
- You own and live in the home as your primary residence.
- Your property taxes and mortgage are current.
- Household income falls at or below the poverty line.
- Priority goes to seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, single parents, and homes with safety hazards.
What we can help with
Property maintenance and repairs that affect a home's safety and code compliance, such as roofing, plumbing, electrical issues, and accessibility needs like ramps and handrails.
If a request is more than our volunteers can take on, we will tell you and point you to other local help where we can.

What we ask of homeowners
We ask that you own and live in the home, and that your property taxes and mortgage are current.
- You or an adult family member are home the whole time volunteers are working.
- Clear the work area of personal items before the crew arrives and keep pets secured.
- Volunteers give their time. Work is not guaranteed or warrantied, and a committee decides eligibility; we may refer you to another agency that can help.
I can't explain how much this means to both of us. We've had a hard go of the last 5-6 years... it felt like everything was just bad after bad. And we got low low. We tried to stay on top of stuff but depression has had us in a choke hold. Thank you for the hand up and not just a hand out. This is a turning point in our lives. People love, care and give to people they don't know. It is beautiful, and saying we are grateful doesn't seem like enough.
